Kathleen has worked in the real estate industry since 1988. In addition to managing the real estate development process, Kathleen oversees acquisitions, asset management and strategic planning.

In 2001, Kathleen started a consulting company offering investment, strategic planning and business development services to real estate industry companies. Prior to that she worked as a third-party development manager, developing such projects as Cisco Systems’ New England campus.

She founded Alta Properties in 2007 to develop and acquire commercial properties. Alta’s growth strategy typically includes partnering with other developers to invest in larger assets and share expertise.

She is a Member of the Board of Directors of Altus Equity Group, a national real estate investor and has been actively involved in numerous professional organizations including: CREW-Commercial Real Estate Women (previously NEWIRE), where she served as President in 2006-2007; NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) where she was a member of the Executive Committee; CORENET Global; Massachusetts Biotechnology Council; Massachusetts Hospital Association; SCUP (Society of College and University Planners); BSA (Boston Society of Architects), Girls on the Run, where she has been both a coach and board member. She is a Past President of the Dartmouth Club of Greater Boston and has held numerous volunteer positions in the communities in which she resides.

She is the mom to two exceptional 20 somethings, is a dedicated runner and has completed more than a dozen marathons.

She earned a BA in Economics and Psychology from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Boston College.
